Brand Marketing
-
I start with the low-hanging fruit. How is the company on the basics: clean branding, consistent language across web and socials, are sales materials that are on brand, and localized to each market?
Then, I dive deeper: What is their attrition rate and eNPS? What is this company known for? And what do customers think them? How does that relate to how they actually want to be seen?
Brand encompasses everything the business does that affects how it is seen and perceived - from the email signature of your salespeople, to the way your employees talk about the company to their friends.
It's also a key way for a company to lose and retain customers. Your brand is the difference between your customer staying with you for 10 years or moving on to the next product when they get a better deal. Investment in Brand Marketing is a key for retention efforts.

Community Building
-
Your community is usually already there - it’s just a matter of bringing them together and helping them connect under that identity. I’ll start with seeing where this community can benefit the organisation - can they be evangelists for our brand? Will they help us make sales or will they be our primary customer? Can they be our key testers for our new products?
Then we’ll look at what resources we have to invest. Community building can be time and cost intensive - but it can also be scaled to what’s realistic. Maybe a monthly newsletter is all you need.
Whatever the investment, by getting to know where this community can be best engaged with, I will also be able to tap into how it can provide value to the business.

Project & Product Management
-
The backbone of this work is relationship building - so I always take the time to understand your current team structure - from the preferred ways of working to the biggest pain points and blockers.
Product Management: I understand not just the customers, but what our competitors are doing and how we can really have an edge. What makes us, us? Why do our customers love us?It’s not just about conducting customer interviews and feedback rounds (although, that is important). It’s also about thinking critically about what needs are there that our customers might not even know they have. And how we might be the ones uniquely equipped to help. It's also about prioritisation. If we aren't doing this - we are missing out on potential revenue.
Project Management: Once we know what we want to built, how do we do it in the most efficient way possible? Doing this can save time and money.
